I used to be a social person who needed to have a lot of people around to feel happy, to feel needed and loved. Family, friends, colleagues. People I met in coffee shops and on the streets. Without them my life seemed to be empty. Suddenly everything changed. I moved to the other side of the world, leaving everything and everyone behind. Tasmania - the end of the world. Lockdown. No people, no friends, no family... Except one - my dog. She was the only friend I took with me on the long journey, being my only connection with my old life. It was then I realised that we are not alone when we have our furry friends around. That they can share our love and give it back unconditionally. In a world of uncertainty having this innocent, pure connection is a great gift.
