This is the first lorikeet painting I have ever done. Surprising, considering they are one of the most popular and loved of all the Australian birds. Their green plumage is so striking, especially when juxtaposed against the yellows and oranges on the chest. Rainbow lorikeets are rather curious birds, and have an obvious confidence which can sometimes land them in trouble when bullying other birds.
