Since my days at school I have always admired the skill of the accomplished realist painter. Accordingly I too paint in an impressionist/realist style using professional quality canvas and paints. I always endeavour to capture something of the feel of the landscape that I am painting - with an emphasis on accurate tonal work and colour. As for the brushwork it is distinctive to each artist much in the same way as our handwriting is and requires lots of practice to achieve a successful outcome.
