Artwork Description

Ink on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

This artwork comes with an external frame

These award winning artworks portray fresh and vibrant Australian bush & coastal scenes, with a focus on gum trees.
"My artworks reflect my ongoing love of trees.
Trees are resilient, strong, beautiful, unique and important habitats. The tree is the symbol of life itself, this is why they play a starring role in my compositions."

Deanne is fascinated with the textures, lines and patterns in the bark of gum trees. This is evident as she draws into the painting with ink making marks, highlighting the ever changing surface of the tree trunk.
Holes in the trunks of the gum trees can be seen, they are little windows framing the landscape.
The trees limbs are like arms reaching out.
Bodies of water such as ponds, lakes and oceans can also be found in her artworks.
Her studio location at Swansea Heads is a constant source of inspiration for her work.

All art by Deanne Newland

A large pale gum tree dominates the foreground. In the background is a lake and a little island dotted with trees. The colours are aquas, burnt oranges, and fresh greens. A large rocky outcrop dominates the composition. Clinging to it against the odds are gum trees. The blues and burnt orange/ brown colour schemes are complimentary. A warm blur sky contrasts the foreground. The Darling River meanders through the yellow landscape. On either side a small gum trees. It is a panoramic landscape created from my memory. The forground is abstract using natural colours found in the outback. Pops of gold are scattered throughout the artwork. The trees are all different and unique, moving in different directions, wind blown.
This is another one from my series Tree scapes. I used ink on yupo paper to create this work.
