With over 120 hours of detail put into the original, this high-fidelity limited edition print is a stunning capture of a study in skill and patience. The artist takes inspiration from the exotic in nature, and in brilliant colour palettes. Beginning by finding a striking subject for her portraits, the artist works up layers upon layers of pigment with mirco brushes; layering mediums to create unique, highly-saturated portraits that dance the line between surreal and hyper-real.
The portraits are predominately brilliant dry-wheel watercolour, with layers of iridescent medium blended through them. Gauche is then added through the piece to create deeper lows and brighter highlights. Watercolour pencil is then used to further deepen the expression of colour.
Original artworks are then scanned with archive-quality super high resolution specialist scanners, to capture incredibly high resolution copies. The artist then works with fine art specialist printers to produce Limited Edition prints of each artwork. Each artwork is capped at 49 reproductions, and is signed and numbered with its edition number. Prints come in sizes ranging from A4-A1.
