First in a series of micro landscapes I did as an homage to last November's "Super Moon" - when the moon was closer to the Earth than it had been for many years. I stood on the beach with like minded others & watched it rise over a neighbouring island. Painted using mediums which added shimmer to the water, a pearlescent glow to the moon & texture to the sand. These small images will work well as stand alone pieces or grouped in a set of 2 or 3.
