An Iconic homage to Actress Marylin Monroe using some of my favourite things - B&W photography, iconography, flowers, lace & shiny things! I first create a montage of images to form each of my references for these floral themed icons. Then paint them using a variety of artist quality acrylic paints, mediums, metal leaf & techniques which give a variety of different surface finishes & textures inter playing on the canvas. I enjoy experimenting with these differing mediums & techniques and the often surprising & satisfying results. This is an ongoing series & I would be happy to paint your favourite icon (female or male)
