Artwork Description

Original ink and watercolour drawing painting of Wombat Pool at the lower reaches of Cradle Mountain in Tasmania.
I photographed this beautiful scene on my walk to the base of the summit, the water was a stunning blue with orange contrast of the tannins from the surrounding bushes. I didn't come across any wombats on my journey in this area but lots of evidence.
The painting is on 300gsm quality medium surface Reeves paper and professionally framed in a light wood with hanging wire on the back ready to hang on your wall.
My ink pen is a Rotring Isograph and I use quality Winsor and Newton watercolour paints.
The painting is signed on the front and back and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
Packed in lots of bubble wrap and doubled walled box for secure postage.
I take great care with my artwork from start to finish.

"I have been painting since a very young age. Working for 15 years in the Art Department of St. Hilda's School on the Gold Coast. My artwork has been exhibited in art shows on the Gold Coast and Brisbane with works sold for private and public collections in Australia and overseas. I have been involved with the creative arts all my life. My inspiration comes from nature and the landscapes I photograph on my travels and it is an integral part of my life. My subject matter was mainly old houses and hotels but now I am engaging in birds, flowers and landscapes and using this subject matter to explore the many and varied different colours, shapes and forms that exist in them. I paint using acrylic, watercolour, ink and mixed media.".
