Every Border Collie

‘Every Border Collie’ is ready to hang as is - no need for an external frame.
Border Collies are full of energy and often have a distinctive black and white coat. Playing around with the camera one day, I captured an interesting shadow image. I thought it would be fun to play with the black and white patterns over a green (for go energy 😊) background.
This painting is on a stretcher frame with painted sides, has a wire attached and is ready to hang.

Denise Piva is from the Sunshine Coast, Queensland.
She has a Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art) from Deakin University and a Master of Art (FineArt) from Charles Sturt University.
For her, painting / making is an enriching and very enjoyable discipline.
The paintings represented here are mostly from a broad series entitled ‘Fragments’. 'Fragments' is best described as painted vignettes of visits to other places; colours, patterns - fragments of the whole experience, as it is difficult to appreciate in full. Focusing on a small section of the whole is doable and fun. Lately, the concept of ‘Fragments’ has expanded to include appreciation of the beauty and mindfulness of the ‘everyday’ fragments which enrich our lives.
