‘Wall tiles - Spain’ is from the ‘Fragments’ series, painted vignettes of visits to other places. This section of wall in the historical building we visited, seemed to be restored with odd mismatched tiles. The wall was not in the ‘most visited’ part of the building and looked like someone had fun creating their own patterns out of what was available. This, of course, made it irresistible as a subject to paint.
