Wall tiles Spain

‘Wall Tiles Spain’ is on a stretcher frame with a deep edge - no need for an external frame. It is a vibrant and detailed oil painting suitable for the living room, office, dining area or bedroom. It has a wire on the back and is ready to hang.
‘Wall Tiles - Spain’ is from the ‘Fragments’ series, painted vignettes of visits to other places. This section of wall in the historical building we visited, seemed to be restored with odd mismatched tiles. The wall was not in the ‘most visited’ part of the building and looked like someone had fun creating their own patterns out of what was available. This, of course, made it irresistible as a subject to paint.

Denise Piva is from the Sunshine Coast, Queensland.
She has a Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art) from Deakin University and a Master of Art (FineArt) from Charles Sturt University.
For her, painting / making is an enriching and very enjoyable discipline.
The paintings represented here are mostly from a broad series entitled ‘Fragments’. 'Fragments' is best described as painted vignettes of visits to other places; colours, patterns - fragments of the whole experience, as it is difficult to appreciate in full. Focusing on a small section of the whole is doable and fun. Lately, the concept of ‘Fragments’ has expanded to include appreciation of the beauty and mindfulness of the ‘everyday’ fragments which enrich our lives.
Denise Piva's work is represented in The University of the Sunshine Coast and James Cook University collections as well as many private collections.
