I grew up on Bondi Beach and have always enjoyed watching the waves roll onto the sand. However this painting is of an aerial view imaginary beach. This painted is dotted with umbrellas and towels & one shark lurking off-shore. It is so quiet and relaxing. I have used a soft watery palette and a lot of texture to give form to the waves and the sand dunes. the sides of the canvas are painted white. It gave me gave joy to create the painting. It is finished with a matt varnish.
