"SYNTHETIC SECRETS" is a series of incongruities that looks at divergence and individuality in a machine-led world. Surreptitious glimpses of skin, shiny red vinyl, raw and visceral flesh — none of it physically existing; private, voyeuristic moments that never occurred.

Each image is, on one hand, a ubiquitous and process-driven product, and on the other a unique moment of creation. Clandestine and unsettling yet somehow beguiling, it is an aberration that can be as repulsive and vulgar as it is beautiful and ethereal.

Conceived through artificial intelligence from a combination of zeros and ones that existed for one fleeting moment before changing and mutating, the exact sequence never to be repeated. Delivered via a magical, intimate reaction of light and an emulsion of chemicals. The resulting print is an individual and unique union of a machine and the natural world.
