"I send you here a wreath of blossoms blown,
And woven flowers at sunset gathered,
Another dawn had seen them ruined, and shed
Loose leaves upon the grass at random strown.
By this, their sure example, be it known,
That all your beauties, now in perfect flower,
Shall fade as these, and wither in an hour,
Flowerlike, and brief of days, as the flower sown."
~Pierre de Ronsard
This rose is named after the famous French poet, Pierre de Ronsard. He wrote poems about love. This rose became an addition to my garden, and during Spring, I waited for this beautiful rose to burst into bloom so that I could create a painting from the live rose and be able to express the true pink candy like colour, and to recreate the glowing feeling of life within the heart of the flower.
This painting will bring the romantic feeling of love to your home.
It is made with love ❤️
