Acrylic on stretched canvas, ready to hang.
Signed on the back.
This is the largest piece that I have done for this series.I have applied thick impasto paint and l have painstakingly cut out the letters "Meet me at the Beach," which I have then adhered to the canvas. It is a playful piece and would make a great statement in a room. The portrait is not totally realistic as I don't want it to look like a particular person too much. It also has a hint of nostalgia about it, reminding us of a simpler time and place..
It is full of texture and interest. The lettering can only be seen up close or when the light falls on the work at a certain angle.
The work has been painted around the edges and is a personal choice if you would like it framed.
