This piece, a snapshot from her own life, a Kasundi that was made as a family, with tomatoes grown from her own garden.

The small things that we share as a family, passing on cooking skills and a tradition of gardening runs through her genes, it is these activities that Elisha treasures most.

A play on words, it is as simple as preserving some homegrown produce that is a form of ‘self preservation’ an activity that fills her cup.

A warm colour palette captures tomatoes and spices, these are offset by the dark benchtop and white pages of the book and coffee mug.
