The floral emblem of Western Australia, Anigozanthos manglesii, commonly known as red and green kangaroo paw, is probably one of the most attractive wildflowers endemic to the state. The flowers curve downwards as they blossom, and together with the buds the opened flowers resemble a kangaroo’s paw. And what of the golden wattle? Well that’s an acacia and the national floral emblem of Australia. A collective composition with a vibrant colour palette. Perfect for attracting pollinators such as the honeyeaters, wattlebirds and various insects.
