"Altered Horizons" is an evocative piece that aims to capture the intricate journey of grappling with unforeseen life-altering shifts. Swirling lines, rendered in deep browns and earthen tones, form a tumultuous dance across the canvas, mirroring the chaotic emotions that accompany such profound changes. In the undulating strokes, one senses the weight of despair and the ache of loss—symbolic of the profound impact of these events many of us experience at some point in our lives. The loss of a loved one, the dissolution of a relationship, or as in the case of the artist, the confronting reality of living with chronic illness and disability, and the loss of independence that comes with it.
