This painting is a part of an abstract series that I am currently working on that is inspired by Australian native plants and flowers. I really enjoy simplifying images when I paint, looking at overall shapes and patterns that are formed.
I love the contrast of colours in this painting; the earthy swampy green tones, contrasting with the warm turquoise, and the large deep burgundy tones with pops of candy pink in the foreground...
