Oil on paper
Signed on the front.
I took this photo on an outing at Mount Cootha Botanic Gardens in Queensland.
I loved the stance of the bird and the way the light reflected off the buttery feathers. Its a whole new side to the Ibis that we rarely stop to to look at.
The painting looks photorealistic, however when viewed closely, it has a painterly manor and is traditional in technique.
The surface is 300gsm paper with linen texture. Specifically designed for oil painting. And 100% archival.
Size is A3. Meaning it's easily framed just as you would a photograph. Frames in A3 size are commonly found in any homewares shop.
Please Note: when framing oil paintings. Leave the glass off as the oil paint needs to breath.
