Artwork Description

He's called the Cocky bomb for obvious reasons, and showing all the tell tale signs of a feathery, flamboyant larrikin! Much like a photo bomber could change your photos, the Cocky Bomber changes my mood. In jest, my alternate title for this painting is 'The silent achiever'!
Birds play an important role in my arts practise, as do they play an important part in my daily life. My urge to paint birds comes with an insane moment of rebellion on any give day in the studio, to let loose and paint something full of fun and life, a personal reminder to 'have fun'. The wild cockatoos that visit my backyard on a regular basis have a seemingly similar life ethos, and never cease to make me smile.

Cheeky blue cattle dog looks to the left with a grin on his face, in mid chase in the bush. Beautiful painterly sunflowers in a vase.
