I visited Port Douglas, Queensland last school holidays with some beautiful friends. We were lucky enough to have time to book in a day trip snorkeling. To say my expectations were low, (due to my last visit to The Great Barrier Reef and all we sadly saw was coral bleaching) was an understatement.

But boy, what we saw actually blew me away! It was easily, hands-down the most amazing snorkeling experience I’ve had. The colours were breathtakingly beautiful and the sea life and coral was thriving. Our guide commented that we had the best day for it, as visibility was 100%.

So of course, it inspired me to paint my interpretation of the vivid colour and sea life!
