I've had a dream for a while now, and that dream is that one day I'll move away from the city to enjoy a quiet, peaceful life on a massive block of rural land where I can live like a hippie and paint every day.
My life on this farm will include lots of animals and whenever I picture this scene, I always picture a beautiful, fluffy Scottish Highlander cow. I had already named him so I decided I should paint him too.
It's hard not to love these gorgeous animals, they look like shaggy teddy bears and they have the sweetest temperament too, I can't wait til I meet my real Angus.
For the background, I used muted blues and dusty greens to create a cold, frosty morning up in the mountains and to contrast this, I chose to use warm red and gold tones for his fur so that he manages to still look comfortable and warm.
To create this artwork, I used quality acrylic paint on a stretched thick-profile canvas. In addition, I have coated the painting in a waterproof satin varnish. This ensures protection for the artwork over time.
And finally, for convenience, I package and ship my artworks ready to hang.
