Artwork Description

“Nature is my religion and the earth is my temple”
My paintings express my infinite admiration for the
diversity of color, form and textures of the nature
world. This is something I want to share with
everyone who is ready to see it.
I profoundly enjoy perceiving and contemplating
ordinary and unusual behavior of all animals. I
dedicate each moment of my time to integrate
myself into that space. Each painting, every single
brush stroke, is an expression of my love and
passion. It comes from deep within, it is a meditative
process as I get lost in reliving the experience and
watch it come to life on canvas.
I combine realistic ideas with metaphorical elements
in a mixture of recognizable subjects and an
imaginary world which add a spiritual component to
the final artwork. My artworks are inspired by some
of the most spectacular visual images on the planet
that have not only aesthetic impact on the viewer,
but can also trigger emotions and important
questions.
When you love something you naturally want to protect it so I would like my art to be a window
into a world not everyone has the opportunity to see. My goal is to capture
and preserve unique habitats and scenes, exquisite moments and create a visual
depiction of the natural world - an endangered world which sadly may not be here in
the future.

All my paintings come with a certificate of authenticity.
If you would like a bigger or smaller size I can do another version to your size specifications as a commission, please request to Bluethumb.

Artist Bio

Eugene’s practice reflects a lifelong affinity with nature. It’s a contemporary exploration of the wildlife in which figurative perfection dissolves into the evocation of mysterious spaces and utilizes spontaneous yet equitable range of hue. “Nature is the source of my inspiration. Everything I manifest and render is focused on harmony within her laws.”
Eugene uses most vivid colors in a vigorous application to express the uniqueness and define representation of wildlife attractiveness. Extensive knowledge of mixed media enables him to develop a most distinctive and recognizable manner that bridges the gap between the traditional academic approach and modern abstract art. His creations are not limited to any one subject or medium and demonstrate his outstanding perception and ability to focus on capturing details. “Since I started drawing I have become increasingly interested in understanding the painter’s two most fundamental tools: light and color.”
Eugene Rubuls is a widely recognized international artist who has successfully exhibited in art shows and galleries around Europe, Asia and Australia. His commissioned art work can be found in private collections all around the world.
