Artwork Description

This painting represents a truly singular opportunity for collectors to acquire a work that has remained in private ownership since the moment of its creation and is now being released to the market for the first time. Long held away from commercial circulation, the work’s rarity is matched by its quiet confidence. Its availability marks a rare convergence of provenance, technical mastery, and emotional resonance—an offering seldom encountered in contemporary wildlife art.
What sets this work apart is not only its technical brilliance, but its psychological presence. The lynx meets the viewer’s gaze directly—calm, assured, and unwavering. There is no threat, no tension—only confidence and curiosity. It is a moment cat owners instinctively recognise: that unblinking stare that seems to bypass the eyes and settle somewhere deeper. The artist harnesses this universal feline gesture to create a powerful, almost wordless dialogue between subject and observer. Power here is expressed through stillness, authority through trust.

At its core, the painting celebrates connection. It invites the viewer not to observe, but to engage—to acknowledge the intelligence, individuality, and quiet dignity of the animal. For collectors, this is far more than a visual statement; it is a one-in-a-million opportunity to acquire a work that fuses technical excellence, contemporary composition, and emotional depth. A piece that does not demand attention—yet holds it indefinitely.

Artist Bio

Eugene’s practice reflects a lifelong affinity with nature. It’s a contemporary exploration of the wildlife in which figurative perfection dissolves into the evocation of mysterious spaces and utilizes spontaneous yet equitable range of hue. “Nature is the source of my inspiration. Everything I manifest and render is focused on harmony within her laws.”
Eugene uses most vivid colors in a vigorous application to express the uniqueness and define representation of wildlife attractiveness. Extensive knowledge of mixed media enables him to develop a most distinctive and recognizable manner that bridges the gap between the traditional academic approach and modern abstract art. His creations are not limited to any one subject or medium and demonstrate his outstanding perception and ability to focus on capturing details. “Since I started drawing I have become increasingly interested in understanding the painter’s two most fundamental tools: light and color.”
Eugene Rubuls is a widely recognized international artist who has successfully exhibited in art shows and galleries around Europe, Asia and Australia. His commissioned art work can be found in private collections all around the world.
