The artist describes this painting as a quiet meditation on fragility and balance beneath the surface. Inspired by time spent observing shallow reef systems, the work captures a moment where life appears gentle, slow, and almost suspended. Rather than portraying a dramatic coral explosion, the artist chose a low, grounded reef — a reminder that even the smallest ecosystems hold immense complexity and beauty. The soft gradients of turquoise and sand were intentionally blended to evoke calm, clarity, and the feeling of floating just above the seabed.
