Artwork Description

Mixed Media on paper, ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

This artwork comes with an external frame

This artwork was created when I was experimenting with acrylic mono prints based initially on the spirit and life of Frida Kahlo. This turquoise print appeared to have a human face in it so I encouraged it to leap out.
I enjoy the strength in her face and I feel she is representing strong women like my female ancestors who migrated from Turkey to Greece in the earl 1900's but also the First Nations women who have kept their extended families together during very sad and turbulent times.

celebrating the unique plants in our country. This artwork has a couple of layers of work on it and I did not complete it in one day.
I added more marks as the weeks went on.
I started the process with white stripes on black canvas and sat with that pattern for a while before I added circular marks.
I added at least 2 layers of circle pattern until I was happy with it.
A portrait of a Sikh man created using layered colour pencil technique, working from light to dark tones.
