Mixed Media on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.
Signed on the front.
My birds were created with layers of paint and paper. They are a reoccuring theme in many of my paintings. I often paint them in pairs because I like the idea of togetherness. There is something comforting about two birds sitting with each other in the stillness of a starry night.
I think they fit quite well with these words by Kahlil Gibran:
" You were born together, and together you
shall be forevermore.
You shall be together when the white
wings of death scatter your days.
" Ay, you shall be together even in the
silent memory of God.
But let there be spaces in your togetherness,
And let the winds of the heavens dance
between you."
Sealed with layers of satin varnish.
Comes with a cerificate of authenticity.
