Original Artwork's Description

An Epiphany in Spring is created with Acrylic paints and inks on a gallery wrapped canvas, finished with a gloss varnish. The canvas sits in a neutral coloured shadow frame. Ready for hanging.

Inspired by the season Spring when it is in full bloom in Canberra. I didn't have to look far for inspiration. My own backyard was bursting with colour.
My magical garden seemed to have a life of it's own. I'm not much of a gardener. (I do wrestle a few weeds every now and then!) It grows and blooms in it's own sweet time.
“A flower does not think of competing with the flower next to it. It just blooms”.

Guaranteed to brighten any home.

Painting is signed and also comes with the certificate of authenticity signed by me.

On a personal note my sister was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. 5% of every sale will go towards The McGrath Foundation.

Artist Bio

Fiona Hill is an Australian contemporary abstract artist based in Windsor, Melbourne.
Her creative process is an intuitive one and involves a building up of layers of colour and texture with acrylic paints and inks. Her paintings are characterized with painterly brushstokes and drips. She works with a combination of thick and transparent layers of colour allowing the foundation layers to show through. Fiona is interested in capturing the fleeting sensations of colour and light. The abstract nature invites personal interpretation - some might see a colourful sky, a dreamscape, or an emotional expression.

Fiona's paintings have a luminous, soft and dream like quality. The overall effect is ethereal and calming, making it well suited to a minimalist, modern interior. Its guaranteed to offer viewers an escape from the chaos of a busy life. Her style is distinctive and unique. Fiona's paintings are held in private collections in Australia and in other parts of the world.

"The process of creating is important and rewarding to me. Life is much more fulfilling when we are in regular touch with our creative source." - Fiona
