Fiona Hill is a Scottish born Australian artist based in her Windsor studio in Melbourne.
Her creative process is an intuitive one and involves a building up of layers of colour and texture with acrylic paints and inks. Her paintings are characterized with painterly brushstokes and drips. She works with a combination of thick and transparent layers of colour allowing the foundation layers to show through. Fiona is interested in capturing the fleeting sensations of colour and light. The abstract nature invites personal interpretation - some might see a colourful sky, a dreamscape, or an emotional expression.

Fiona's paintings have a luminous, soft and dream like quality. The overall effect is ethereal and calming, making it well suited to a minimalist, modern interior.
