Artwork Description

Hand cut Collage is another great love of mine, especially in this digital world.(NOT AI)
My paints are packed away as I'm between studios. I made sure I kept a box of my favourite paper, images and ephemera so that I can still be creative. It's amazing what a pair of scissors and glue can create!

I enjoy putting together my favourite black and white images, colours, pattern and texture. (Yes, I love polka dots too!)

This small artwork has been created on a small cradled wooden panel. You can see that it is hand created and is an original, one of a kind artwork to add a pop of colour to your wall.
"Something Fishy" is number 1 in my series from my Golden Years of Hollywood artworks. It is the first one I created in the series.

Sealed with two coats of high gloss varnish.
Ready to hang.
(It does NOT require framing)

It's one of a kind. Comes signed on the back and with a certificate of authenticity.

Artist Bio

Fiona Hill is an Australian contemporary abstract artist based in Windsor, Melbourne.
Her creative process is an intuitive one and involves a building up of layers of colour and texture with acrylic paints and inks. Her paintings are characterized with painterly brushstokes and drips. She works with a combination of thick and transparent layers of colour allowing the foundation layers to show through. Fiona is interested in capturing the fleeting sensations of colour and light. The abstract nature invites personal interpretation - some might see a colourful sky, a dreamscape, or an emotional expression.

Fiona's paintings have a luminous, soft and dream like quality. The overall effect is ethereal and calming, making it well suited to a minimalist, modern interior. Its guaranteed to offer viewers an escape from the chaos of a busy life. Her style is distinctive and unique. Fiona's paintings are held in private collections in Australia and in other parts of the world.

"The process of creating is important and rewarding to me. Life is much more fulfilling when we are in regular touch with our creative source." - Fiona
