Patterns and shapes are my latest interest because in the construct of a painted scene, I feel shapes and patterns define one another and thereby creates dimensionality. I am fascinated by the fact simple change of directional lines can create the illusion of a surface. And I think this is a feature that is quite unique to our vision. This painting explores such simple concept of shapes and patterns in the form of still life.
