Standing on Red Beach, on Bribie Island, my eyes wandered into the pandemonium of branches lining the shore. Suddenly I caught a glimpse of a Fairweather painting. His tone, repetitiveness, pattern, but most of all, the chaos of his work became apparent.
Dead branches danced and tormented one another. The magic of the chaos surrounded me. But I needed reprieve. I needed to rest my eyes on the calm blue of the bay and beyond.
