This work was a finalist in the prestigious Australian prize for Landscape, The Paddington Art Prize.
I am standing in the Glass House Mountains National park and I smell smoke. Just a slight hint of burning eucalyptus. Such an Australian aroma! I painted this one in Black and White as the monotone made the smoke emerge slowly from behind the trunks.
