This piece is a memory from my childhood. The incredible abstract beadwork that the African women and men would do to decorate bowls, tribal artefacts and toy wire animals. They would sell their wares on the side of the road and the colourful shapes that flew by the car window as we sped off to our holiday destination under the beating African sun.
