This work reflects musings on the nature of the human condition and interpretations of self, of different faces of the ‘self’ and of the nuances of expression in the language of the body. It explores the inspirations and imperfections that encompasses the complexity of being human. As in the revealing lyrics of Leonard Cohen, “there is a crack in everything – that’s how the light gets in”.

The painting surface has been varnished with four coats of polymer gloss MM7 and a final solvent based gloss varnish MM14 to aid in protection against light and physical damage. It has D-rings and wire on the back for hanging.
