After buying some "Shady Lady" proteas from a market, I was inspired by the natural pattern and rhythm of this amazing flower. It was an interesting challenge to step out of my usual subject matter and hand cut a stencil of something so intricate. I have used an old lace curtain to create the background, which together with the spray paint creates an interesting blend of the old and the new.
