NSW railways service to regional centres are provided by the XPT trains. The engines are diesel electric. This is of the North Coast XPT arriving at South Grafton, the station is now called Grafton City. In years gone by, Grafton had South Grafton & Grafton railway stations, on either side of the Clarence river. A double decker bridge crosses the river with trains on the lower deck which is straight, and the upper deck for motor vehicles which has been referred to as the bendy bridge.
