This painting is part of a new series I am working on called 'A Graffiti Life'. When I was young I copied a whole calligraphy book, as I wanted to have beautiful handwriting. Put anything infront of me and a pen and I'll Graffiti all over it, which was always a constant irritation to my mother, who's beautiful magazines etc would have my graffiti all over them. Having designed textiles for 30 odd years and really enjoy the subtle interplay of colour and the beauty that creates, as well as a feeling, this work is an expression of all that. I also love street art and graffiti and a lot of the techniques and equipment I use in my art are very similar to those used by Graffiti artists.
This painting is signed and dated on the right lower profile edge.
The edges are plain white and the signature is in medium slate grey.
It come with a certificate of authenticity signed by myself.
Has strap at the back ready to hang.
