Artwork Description

This one is sold but there are more available on my page, please take a look.
'The Marriage Dance' is part of a special, collaborative series with Bluethumb that includes 3 limited edition print runs "The Marriage Dance" "Marriage" and "Queer Dancing" As my frustration about the Marriage Equality debate and the 'survey' grew I need to do something positive so I decided to draw and paint artworks of a positive outcome and these works are the result.
We were finally successful, but we had to do a dance for this human right. This is my celebration.

Every year, Sydney's iconic Mardi Gras festival is a great time to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as remember the hardships that have passed.

Unfortunately, a particularly vulnerable group in that community is the older generation. Between myself and Bluethumb, 20% of profits from any of these prints sold until the end of March will go towards Silver Rainbow, an organisation committed to caring for that group, who may have suffered from hardships particularly affecting the LGBTQIA+ community, such as the AIDS crisis and public discrimination."

This print is framed in a 32cm x 42 white frame with UV protective perspex ready to hang.

'Nullarbor Road' is a very detailed artwork with colour crossing over one another to create effect. An artwork to express how nature is free to do whatever it wants, without expectations. This work is specific to the colours of outback Australia and how they intertwine creating a dance of their own. It is not intended to be too literal and so allows you to see whatever you can find.

Accentuated with strokes of metallic gold paint, the artwork introduces a touch of opulence. Gold, renowned for its connotations of abundance, mental equilibrium, and vitality, is intended to bestow a sense of success and happiness upon the observer. The incorporation of gold seeks to infuse comfort, kindness, and a hint of elegance into the viewer's life, establishing a deeper connection with the natural world. The liberal application of gold throughout the piece contributes to an overall atmosphere of liberation and unrestricted expression.
