Melbourne is full of quirky and interesting characters. The best place for inspiration for my paintings is outside of my studio, so I took myself off to Federation Square. There I perched on a wall and took sneaky shots of people wandering through and sketched the buildings on my iPad. Back at my studio, I collated these images to try and capture the essence of Melbourne on a cold day in 2018.
