This painting depicts part of the Dukes Secret Garden at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire. I was there earlier this year and saw this stunning red leaved tree with delicate leaves. I have painted the scene in an abstract way to emphasise the vibrancy of the colours and have created small details with collage in a few places to create a focal point.
