Mixed Media on paper
Signed on the front.
Every September my Dad brings over some orchid stems from his garden. I love the colours through the blooms and the poise of the stems... so dramatic. They were also a main flower in my September wedding years ago, so they feel significant for me.
This is a really simple, sketched depiction of the flowers; light and loose, created during a fairly bleak time of lockdown #6.
Sepia toned ink outlines the flowers, with simple watercolour shading.
It would be best framed very simply with white mat board, and white or light oak frame.
It has a partner on the way. This is an original piece, and may have a print run in the future.
