Sparks of Joy - By Hanna Edwards. My family and I often go on regular explorations around different places in Australia from beaches to national parks. Kookaburras are a common bird that we often see, I love admiring their interesting nature and how they try to capture their prey or a fellow humans lunch. I often take multiple pictures that I can draw inspiration from. I explore different ways to encapsulate energy and joy in my painting process and felt absolute sparks of joy whilst creating this piece.
This piece was created using gold leaf, expressive marks with crayons, acrylic and oil paint.
