The Lockyer Valley just outside of Brisbane is a beautiful sunflower growing region of Australia and at different times of the year the sunflower fields are open to the public.

Sunflowers love the sunshine and during those long days of summer sun, they evolve into giant flowers, soaking up their life force from the sun.

Saturday mornings picking sunflowers, placing them in the kitchen and enjoying their fresh vibrancy inspired my artwork here.
