My original, modern landscape here is inspired by my wanderings through a local botanical garden in Brisbane. The rainforest walk is a favourite and eventually leads to a water lily pond at the base of the palm forest.
Stylised and reimagined but retaining that forest feel and rainforest brightness….. so lovely to update a room with the blue and greens of this artwork. I have painted many palms in my “Backyard Series” and will add this one to that series as it is almost in my Brisbane backyard.
