Oil on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.
Signed on the front.
Taken from inspiration of a photo taken by talented Perth photographer DG Imagery of the famous Thompsons Bay at Wadjemup (Rottnest).
I instantly felt like I was transported to the island and could see the Ray moving when I saw the photo .
My goal was to capture the scene but remove the noise around it such as boats and buoys to enhance the aesthetic appeal.
I chose to keep one boat to balance the painting and give it a realistic ‘rotto vibe’ which I hope the viewer feels.
Painted with Australian archival oil paint on 100% cotton stretched canvas.
A unique and quality art collectors piece painted using layering techniques which took approx. 6 weeks to complete.
Can be framed in a floating frame- I would suggest a Tasmanian oak.
