Grevillea - primarily native to Australia, are evergreen shrubs or trees of great beauty with needle-like to fern-like foliage and incredibly flamboyant flowers.
It has magnificent flowers in varied shapes and forms. Most have long flowering periods. The species I encountered in my neighbourhood is peaches and cream- has the most stunning, harmonic greenish- yellowy -pinkish colour hue.


In this painting, the flowers stand out gloriously from the leaves at the background.
It is one of my favourite trees. I adore the beauty of it every day I walk into the woods.
The bloom of it stands for Boldness, Strength and Courage.
Exactly what I would like to express in this piece.

Flower always bloom in their own time without competing with other flowers. It is this time of the year that I can admire its grace whenever I walk pass by the flowering tree. The glossy leaves add shiny looking foliage with sunlight, along with the gorgeous red flowers and buds, it is captivating. <br> Generally, camellia flowers symbolize love, affection, and admiration. Red camellias symbolize love, passion, and deep desire. <br> The Yuletide Camellia is evergreen, meaning that the leaves stay on the plant all year round. These heat-loving, drought-tolerant Camellias thrive in hot weather conditions, needs minimal watering and can handle long periods with little to no rain. I was going through a all time low in life at that moment, came across difficulties that I wasn't able to deal with by myself. <br> Nature was the only thing bring me strength and helped me get back on my feet. I enjoyed observing different kind of flowers, Australia native plants and trees. To ground myself, I started express my feelings by painting those objects that I was obsessed with. <br> I started with some small project at the beginning, gaining enormous joy and peacefulness from the process. Then I stared to work on more detailed and bigger project, at the same time, focusing on developing my own skills and style, which is a challenge that I set for myself from time to time, and a challenge I enjoyed with no doubt. <br> Being inspired by nature enlighten me in all aspects of life. All the message that I wanted to deliver to the viewer are the pure joy and calmness that I experienced during my art process- the nature order.　 <br> Gradually, Art is no longer a one man journey to me when I started to get lovely feed backs from collectors round the worlds, sharing their joyful experience and inspirations from my paintings. I am very grateful and beyond humbled that I have the love and support from my collectors since I started. In ancient Greece, orchids were associated with virility. Red chrysanthemums symbolise deep passion and optimism. Pink roses are symbolic of gratitude and appreciation. The Orange in perfect round shape surrounded by giant Orchids stands for harmony and abundance in life. The flowers bloom gloriously along with my favourite gum tree leaves at the background. <br> It is a reminding to ourselves that we can live the only life we have right here right now, like the flowers bloom with passion; however, you can also relax a bit, looking up the blue sky when you need time to breath. (Which is also the reason why I used the undertone - Sky Blue- for this artwork.) <br> For people who read through the description and stopping by this painting of mine, thank you for joining me on a life time journey, I sincerely hope you enjoy this piece. <br> -Bloom like flowers - In this signature series of mine, flowers as the object represent life itself to me. Our own will to be alive, and the way we want to be alive. Joyous Heart Forever Love – Waratah, Firewood Banksia, White Protea and Pine 75 x 75 x 2.5 cm 19/10/2023 By HSIN LIN <br> Acrylic on Acid-free canvas. Painted with palette knives and brushes. Comes with a certificate of authenticity. <br> Affirmation: Love goes on in the joyous season. <br> To experience the seasons, it has become a routine of mine to paint the first bloom around my surroundings, during its flowering season. This artwork was inspired by a day trip to Queenscliff, Victoria. This gorgeous bouquet caught my attention. All the native flowers in this flower arrangement bloom gloriously just like the beautiful sunny day that we had that day. <br> The Red Waratah flower (Telopea), native to the south-eastern parts of Australia - New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania, is the symbol of undying love. The bright red Telopea speciosissima is also the NSW state emblem. The inflorescence of Proteaceae is often large, blooming in brightly, vivid colour, consisting of many small flowers densely packed into a compact head or spike. There’s also a saying that the aboriginal people soaked the Waratah in water and drank it as a tonic of strength. <br> The white Protea Niobe (Protea magnifica x laurifolia) has light yellow flowers with trims of soft black, purplish foliage that outline the tips of the petals. Protea is also associated with change and transformation, and diversity. I am especially in love with the story behind the name: In Greek legend, proteas were named after Proteus, the son of Poseidon. A sea god who had the power to know all things past, present, and future. <br> Banksia menziesii, also known as firewood banksia or strawberry banksia. Leaves are dull green with new growth in greyish green. Flowers are often in two-coloured red or pink and yellow. Menzies Banksia is commonly seen in Australian Parks and gardens, it provides food for animals and birds, in particular- honeyeaters. <br> Banksia symbolizes rebirth and new beginnings. To move on from the past courageously, to have the strength to look forward to tomorrow. <br> Leucadendrons are often used to convey an appreciation for simplicity in life. The blossoms are uncomplicated and have a simple appearance to them. Simple beauty is one of the most popular meanings for this bloom. <br> As for my all-time favourite - Pine leaves, are often considered to be a symbol of longevity and endurance because of their ability to withstand harsh conditions. <br> All the native blossoms bloom gloriously. A precious memory that I would like to cherish forever. Therefore, I have the title - Joyous Heart Forever Love, for this particular artwork. <br> Flowers always bloom in their own time without competing with other flowers. The flowers symbolized happiness and gratefulness for the life you have been given. They are a celebration of life. The Egyptian believed that the gerbera would lessen the sorrows and stresses of everyday life in the old days. It also has a meaning of closeness to nature and devotion to the sun. <br> Alstroemeria, also known as Peruvian lily or lily of the Incas, native to South America however some have become naturalized in the United States, Mexico, Australia, and New Zealand. In 1753 Baron Claus von Alstomer, a Swedish baron, discovered the flower while collecting seeds on a trip to Spain. The Alstroemeria flower was named after him. This long-lasting flower symbolises devotion and friendship. Alstroemeria is also a symbol of wealth, fortune and prosperity. <br> Symbolic of powerful Yang energy, Chrysanthemums are believed to represent longevity, joy and attractant of good luck in the home. If you receive chrysanthemums from someone, it is a symbol of love. <br> The beautiful sun-coloured yellow rose can also convey warmth, delight and affection, as well as say good luck, welcome back, and remember me. This is my depiction of the gorgeous flowering Antirrhinum during my visit to Dandenong Ranges on a sunny day. <br> Antirrhinum, the snapdragon's botanical name comes from the Greek words "anti," meaning like, and "rhin," meaning nose. It's said that the name for this flower comes from the snap it makes when the sides of the "dragon's mouth" are gently squeezed. Antirrhinum Snap In Black is a perennial form of snapdragon, with repeat flowers and delicately frilled petals throughout the year. They feature heavy flowering in the spring, new foliage emerges a dramatic black colour. <br> In the language of flowers, Snapdragon symbolized Strength, Grace, cordiality and credibility. Pink Antirrhinum represents femininity, grace, and gentleness. <br> Flowers always bloom in their own time without competing with other flowers. May we all bloom in our time in the best season.
