Foxglove symbolize creativity, a boost of confidence and great connection as the flowers often attract the bees and hummingbirds. There is an old saying that the foxglove are magnets for fairies which attracting positive energy. <br> This artwork is inspired by my visiting to George Tindale Memorial Gardens in the Dandenong Ranges after a few months of lock down in Victoria. It’s almost summer so the garden is extremely colourful with all the spring flowers blooming gloriously. I was drawn to the sight of these beautiful Foxglove plants, under a giant, tall pine tree, with varies flowers such as carnations grow nearby. Waratah (Telopea) - a member of the plant family Proteaceae, native to the south-eastern parts of Australia - New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania. The inflorescence of Proteaceae is often very large, blooming in brightly, vivid colour, consisting of many small flowers densely packed into a compact head or spike. The bright red Telopea speciosissima is the NSW state emblem. I totally agree with it. This is a very calming scene that I see often in a particular spot by the window that I do my daily meditation at home, sitting on an old chair with nostalgic pattern on it that my lovely neighbour left me. The yuletide camellia bloom beautifully in the winter on my front yard. <br> My cat Cadbury sometime sit by the window, by my side, and look at me with her lovable, big round eyes while I do my daily meditation. It's quiet, like time froze at that magical moment. From where I live in Bayswater, there is a big field of open woodland near my studio. The grassland has always been my favourite playground. I am often accompanied by various local birds such as cockatoos, magpies, rosellas and so on. They make a great company; they are my special friends. Which also inspired me to paint this small artwork in a series. Like a yearbook, featuring all our friends, carrying all kinds of memories. Each bird has a different appearance and different personality, and each one of them might remind you of that specific, special friend of yours. That person might be pretty, fun or even weird in a good way, and you love him/ her no matter what.
