Affirmation: Every mischance in life was a spiritual endeavour, every day is a blessing.


To experience the seasons, it has become a routine of mine to paint the first bloom around my surrounding, during its flowering season. This is my 2nd depiction of the gorgeous flowering wattle tree near my studio, which I walk past during my daily walk routine every day. The first one had found good home in QLD.


The flower always blooms in its own time without competing with other flowers. May we all bloom in our time in the best season. Hope you enjoy this artwork of mine.

Sealed with varnish. <br> Affirmation: Here in our secret garden, we are safe and protected with love. <br> Digitalis purpurea, also known as the foxglove or common foxglove. Foxglove symbolize creativity, a boost of confidence and great connection as the flowers often attract the bees and hummingbirds. There is an old saying that the foxglove are magnets for fairies which attracting positive energy. <br> This artwork is inspired by my visiting to George Tindale Memorial Gardens in the Dandenong Ranges after a few months of lock down in Victoria. It’s almost summer so the garden is extremely colourful with all the spring flowers blooming gloriously. I was drawn to the sight of these beautiful Foxglove plants, under a giant, tall pine tree, with varies flowers such as carnations grow nearby. These elegant, dreamlike foxgloves bloom in soft lavender, pink, yellow and pure white hue with a spotted centre. This artwork was inspired by my visit to Karwarra Australian Native Botanic Garden in Mt Dandenong. I was lucky that all the white and red Waratahs were blooming gloriously, and this one specific bloom caught my attention. <br> The Waratah flower is the symbol of undying love. Waratah (Telopea) - a member of the plant family Proteaceae, native to the south-eastern parts of Australia - New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania. The inflorescence of Proteaceae is often very large, blooming in brightly, vivid colour, consisting of many small flowers densely packed into a compact head or spike. The bright red Telopea speciosissima is the NSW state emblem. There’s also a saying that the aboriginal people soaked the Waratah in water and drank it as a tonic of strength. <br> Flowers always bloom in their own time without competing with other flowers. I totally agree with it. This is a very calming scene that I see often in a particular spot by the window that I do my daily meditation at home, sitting on an old chair with nostalgic pattern on it that my lovely neighbour left me. The yuletide camellia bloom beautifully in the winter on my front yard. <br> My cat Cadbury sometime sit by the window, by my side, and look at me with her lovable, big round eyes while I do my daily meditation. It's quiet, like time froze at that magical moment. Which also inspired me to paint this small artwork in a series. Like a yearbook, featuring all our friends, carrying all kinds of memories. Each bird has a different appearance and different personality, and each one of them might remind you of that specific, special friend of yours. That person might be pretty, fun or even weird in a good way, and you love him/ her no matter what.
