-Bloom like flowers -
In this signature series of mine, flowers as the object represent life itself to me.
Our own will to be alive, and the way we want to be alive.
While I carefully paint these tiny flower petals or built up those fine leaves’ vines, it is like the way we try to figure out those uncertainties, furthermore, to be able to be closer to the truth a little bit more.

Affirmation: Let me be your sunshine on a rainy day, in the darkest hours, every day to shine your day.
I started this artwork around Dec 2021. It’s been a long journey, sunny days and rainy days. Long working hours required determination and faith to be achieved. The process wasn’t an easy task but It’s a challenge that I enjoyed, and I am happy to say I finally have it completed around September 2022.
By the time I have this artwork completed, I decided to name this artwork - A Lifetime Sunshine, which is an extension of my previous artworks – A Life Time Journey, A Life Time blessing, A Life Time Commitment, A Life Time Love, A Life Time Story and A Life Time Grit.
I present you the latest piece from my award-winning/signature series -Bloom like flowers.
To experience the changing of the seasons and to present moments, it has become a routine of mine to paint the first bloom in my surrounding during its flowering season. This artwork was inspired by my visit to Royal Botanic Garden in Cranbourne. I was drawn immediately to this particular Flowering Gum tree- Corymbia Ficifolia (Baby Orange) in bloom in the flowering season, one of the main reasons that I always come back to the Royal Botanic Garden.
In this particular artwork, there are flowers in full bloom gloriously under the sunlight, flowers in the blooming stage, as well as with closed buds most rounded and showing colour and buds with caps lifting on ready to bloom. Those are metaphor for all the precious moments in lifespan development. Eucalyptus flowers also have the symbolic meaning of Healing and Protection.
The flower always blooms in its own time without competing with other flowers. May we all bloom in our time in the best season. Hope you enjoy this artwork of mine.

Corymbia ficifolia
A Western Australian native tree with several small outlying populations further to the East, grows on sandy soils in low-lying areas of woodland.
Corymbia Ficifolia -Baby Orange, belongs to the family- MYRTACEAE. A small Australian flowering gum growing to around 3-4m tall. One of the most outstanding flowering trees in Australia with conspicuous flowers in vermillion-orange that cover the canopy in summer, followed by large woody fruits known as honkey nuts. The brilliant orange flowers in summer bring the birds into the garden. A gum tree for every garden, the eucalyptus flowers for everyone.
-Bloom like flowers -
Hsin Lin’s series Bloom Like Flowers explores the process of blooming and our connection to nature.
The signature series features meticulously detailed acrylic paintings and prints that celebrate native Australian flora and wildlife and highlight the ecologies and habitats that support and connect them.
Hsin Lin’s professional background in fashion design informs her skill and ability to capture the organic textural details of these subjects. Through sensitive observation and illustration every petal, facet or filament is rendered on canvas.

Inspire grow bloom empower
we look to Nature and see her
unfold beautifully hour by hour,
orange blossoms unfurl and dance
vitality within, creation
what a trance.
Hungry bees and birds yearn for nectar
anonymously visiting
collecting for themselves and others,
the artist and the poet observe from away
smiling at each other and the precious scene
they have to appreciate this fine day.

Upon her canvas the artist dabs a
spot of white against green as contrast
the poet gnaws her pencil thoughtfully,
a phrase emerges from her mind
she scrawls it down quickly.

sumptuous colours and phrases
which capture a moment flowingly,
their duet of vivid blossoms
the artist and the poet
friends creating so joyously.Overall size - 55 x 66 x 2 cm, Professional finishing at the back.

BLOOMING ECHEVERIA
Original artwork -
Acrylic on Canvas .
7/ Feb/ 2017

We were two weeks away for holiday, when we come back, almost every single plant in our garden looks dry and suffered from the heat , except this strong succulent plant.
It's blooming in small yellow flowers with red colour flower bud, plenty of them.
You can feel the vitality and the power of mother nature from it.
It's kind of a never ending , divine, and selfless love which go straight into your heart, give you the power, and comfort you deeply.

Spider hibiscus- Hibiscus schizopetalus, also known as fringed rosemallow, Japanese lantern and coral hibiscus. These beautiful red flowers are very distinctive in their frilly, finely divided petals.
Hibiscus - the flower of Femininity, Beauty, Charm and Glory.
In Victorian times, giving a hibiscus meant that the giver was acknowledging the receiver's delicate beauty. In North America especially, a hibiscus means a perfect wife or woman.
Hibiscus also symbolize glory if it is given to both men and women.
I painted this artwork while missing my family overseas, as hibiscus is one of their favourite flowers.
We haven’t seen each other for a long time especially we don’t travel in this certain period of time.
Best wishes for our loved ones wherever they are.

-WILD BOTANICAL ABSTRACT SERIES by H.Lin-
I am HSIN LIN, Full Time Artist based in Melbourne Australia, obsessed with the beauty of flowers.
From where I live in Bayswater, there is a big field of forest nearby.
My creating process normally start from a short walk into the woods, touching the texture of the barks, feeling the sunlight reflecting on the leaves and grasses.
I then collect whatever I found during the walk as inspiration.
Sometimes would be the gum tree, oak tree, pine tree leaves, or bird feathers; in autumn I have acorns, and wattles in winter. There's only one rule for my collecting process, never take from the living tree/life.
I collect what had fallen only, and those are the gift from the nature of the day for me.
This painting is painted after my visiting of Royal Botanic Garden in Cranbourne recently, as Banksia has a special place in my heart. A brave, evergreen native tree with the humbled strength.
All banksias produce copious nectar and are ideal for attracting wildlife into gardens. Seeds are also eaten by cockatoos, particularly the Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoo.
Banksia also symbolizes rebirth and new beginnings.

Affirmation:
All the wonderful things in life begin in a simple moment and last an eternity.
If you are familiar with my work, you may already know every year I spent several months studying one single object in my signature series - Bloom like flowers. Sometimes a single artwork can take over 6 months to complete depends on the size and how detailed it was.
In this signature series of mine, flowers as the object represent life itself to me.
Our own will to be alive, and the way we want to be alive.
While I carefully paint these tiny flower petals, or built up those fine leaves’ vines, it is like the way we try to figure out those uncertainty, furthermore, to be able to be closer to the truth a little bit more.
I started this particular artwork around October 2020 and it had been staying on my easel for several months. If you look close enough, each tiny petal was built up by multiple layers. The process wasn’t an easy task but It’s a challenge that I always enjoyed.
It’s been a really long journey. I spent countless days studying those intricate details, sunny days and rainy days.
This new variety of rose – Frutteto, is a light pink rose with light green exterior petals.
The colour pink is often associated with appreciation, perfection and happiness. Pink elicits feelings of warmth, femininity, and love.
Colours also have a psychological influence. From all the colours, green symbolizes nature and the natural world. It is often thought to represent tranquillity, good luck, and health.
As for white, for me, white has all the possibilities.
Bridal white, white canvas, a page of blank diary, and all the different colours enchanted on pure white petals with sunlight dance on it.
The colour white symbolizing simplicity, a fresh start or a new beginning.
I remember once my collector asked me a specific question on my solo exhibition years ago – What is the most difficult flower that you’ve ever paint?
I thought for a while and answered honestly – Personally I think white flowers are the most difficult object to paint, because colours changed under the light. White flowers are not just in white. It is also one of the reasons I love about it. Precision and a lot of practice are needed to depict delicate details.
This artwork is inspired by an amazing rose bouquet that I spotted in the local market. Completed in Melbourne, Victoria, 2021 – The year of a new beginning.

Affirmation: The reality is now, let’s play to win.

This artwork was inspired by my visit to Royal Botanic Garden in Cranbourne. I was drawn immediately to this particular Eucalyptus macrocarpa tree in full bloom in the flowering season. I love the details on those large ovate grey leaves and the earthy tone on the plant.
The rough surface on the gum nuts and the smooth silky texture on the flowers, display of greatest strength of life.

Eastern Rosella -also known as the rosella, white cheeked rosella and rosella parakeet, mainly eat seeds but also berries, blossoms, nectar, fruit and insects.
They have white cheeks, bright red heads and necks and blue flight feathers.
Feathers on their backs and wings are black, edged with yellow-green or yellow.
The native symbols of Rosella are eternal love and devotion.
Rosella also indicates love and a shared journey.
As many of you may know I don’t paint birds very often, but when I do it’s normally a self-projection.
From where I live in Bayswater, there is a big field of open woodland near my studio.
My creating process normally start from a short walk into the woods, touching the texture of the tree barks, feeling the sunlight reflecting on the leaves and grasses.
I then collect whatever I found during the walk as inspiration. There's only one rule for my collecting process, never take from the living tree/life.
The grassland is always my favourite playground, especially during the lockdown. I often accompanied by varies local birds such as cockatoos, magpies, colourful rosellas, lorikeets and kookaburras during the walk.
This time, I encountered a beautiful friend. A branch of fallen pine tree leaves is what I picked up.
My eyes landed on this colourful rosella resting quietly on the branch of one of the giant, old pine tree.
In winter, pine tree leaves show different shades of colors, the earthy tone gave me a feeling of zen and tranquillity - a peace of mind. It’s a peaceful and delightful scene to enjoy.
I captured this beautiful friend with my paint brushes and canvas, worked on it for quite sometimes and finally have it completed while painting on my front yard under the warm winter sun.
I would like to share the beautiful moment with you, hope this artwork be the brightest rainbow in your Clouds.

To experience the seasons, it has become a routine of mine to paint the first bloom around my surroundings, during its flowering season. This artwork was inspired by my visit to the Royal Botanic Garden in Cranbourne. I was drawn immediately to this beautiful, large native shrub in full bloom in the flowering season. I love every detail of it, from the terminal racemes of small flowers in bright yellow that shine beautifully under the sun, to the long, narrow pine-like leaves.
Persoonia pinifolia, a species of the Proteaceae family, is an attractive large shrub with large spikes of bright, vivid yellow flowers and pine-like foliage, native to New South Wales, Australia.
Pine-leaved Geebung normally flowering from mid-summer to autumn, it grows into a dense shrub that birds can take refuge in. Persoonia pinifolia loves well-drained acid soil, prefers a sunny position or one with partial shade, and tolerates reasonably heavy frosts.
This is a rare sight to see as it can be difficult to propagate somehow. This is why it was a nice surprise that I encountered the Pine-leaved Geebung in its flowering season during my visit to the garden.
Affirmation – Do your best, all your perseverance and effort will turn into a fruitful harvest.

Flowers always bloom in their own time without competing with other flowers.
